Analysis of Magazine Cover 2

The title of this magazine is in the top left corner with the price displayed above it. The colour of the title is red, and this could be used to gain the attraction of the eye since it’s a primary colour, but this could be used to show its audience that this will have adult themes and stories in that are inappropriate for a younger audience. The colours used in this are bright, vibrant and include red, yellow, pink and purple. Due to these colours, it also means that it is likely to appeal to a female audience. The coverlines and images also only relate to females meaning that it isn’t likely that male audience are going to purchase this product.

The magazine cover has many cover lines that are surrounding the image of the woman who is at the top section of the cover. The cover lines that they want us to read as you go by have red backgrounds whilst the rest have pink which aren’t the important sellers. They all have the main words in them capitalised to attract the audience to the words to entice them to buy the magazine.  Along with the coverlines, there is an image that is associated with them. For example, for the main coverlines in the middle of the cover, there is a picture of the “little girl” and the “babysitter”.

Again, this magazine has a section in the top left-hand side that informs the audience about the potential prizes that they could enter to win. This would appeal to the audience, especially lower-class, to get more money etc. It has the prize money of “£7,160” in bold red text as it is one of the only red texts on the cover so audiences’ eyes will be attracted to it.
