Ideas For Magazines

  For my magazines, the title will be displayed across the top of the page in a bold font. This is so that it is able to stand out from the background so that the people are able to see it on a shop shelf and that they will find it easily if they read it regularly. Alongside the title will also be the price and the issue of the magazine. The stories in the magazine will correspond with the issue of the magazine. For example, the winter issue is going to have winter related stories such as Christmas stories etc. The colour scheme will also match the issue to try and stick to a theme of the issue such as more cooler tones such as blues for the winter issue.   The fonts used will be in capitalised fonts for the main words relating to the story so that they stand out for the reader, and they are more intrigued and are more likely to purchase the magazine to read these stories.   For my website, I have used a mint green and pink colour scheme so that it stands out but also look simplistic. This is so that the user can find it easy to locate everything on the website and so that the website’s pages don’t look cluttered. At the top of the home page there are multiple headings that the user can click on to take them to the pages related to each heading. For example, when the user clicks on the ‘sport’ heading, it will send them to my link page that will feature several stories related to this topic. This allows the user to focus their attention on what they are interested in so that they can make the website more personalised to their preferences which will encourage them to use it more often. The font I have used is ‘berlin sans’, which is a simple font that makes it clear for the user to read.
